It appears as a blue, water-soluble emulsion, and this distinctive color helps clearly monitor the coating process during plate-making. At its core, the photosensitive agent is highly sensitive to blue-violet light, rapidly triggering a photochemical reaction when exposed to wavelengths between 340–440 nm, which in turn initiates polymerization or cross-linking of the film-forming agent. The film-forming agent itself is composed of premium-quality, water-soluble polymers such as gelatin, proteins, and PVA (polyvinyl alcohol), providing the printing plate with exceptional mesh adhesion strength. This ensures that, during printing, the plate adheres tightly to the screen mesh without easily peeling off. Additionally, the plate film exhibits outstanding resistance—withstanding solvent attacks, prolonged water immersion, and even the wear-and-tear caused by frequent use—while maintaining its structural integrity. As a result, the durability and print life of the screen are significantly enhanced, extending its overall service life. To further optimize performance, the formulation also incorporates a variety of additives: sensitizers boost the photosensitivity; dispersants ensure uniform distribution of all components; stabilizers preserve the chemical stability of the mixture; colorants make the film easier to inspect visually; and plasticizers impart the necessary flexibility to the plate film. Together, these additives work synergistically, elevating the already impressive performance of ZY403 to new heights.
